|
The
Prout family began building catamarans in the 1950s, and their boats have
been well known and respected in the United Kingdom and Europe for half a
century. The Snowgoose Elite, was built to cross oceans
and it has been suggested that nearly one hundred have completed
circumnavigations. Prout catamarans, and particularly the Snowgoose line, are
synonymous with safe and comfortable cruising. They have a renowned safety
record and command a high price on the used boat market in every corner of
the world.
This
yacht, build number 261 was Prout's showboat at the London Boat Show 1986
before being exported to Malaysia. She has cruised along the equatorial belt
from Madagascar, The Seychelles, Chagos, Malaysia and to the Philippines.
Easy day runs of 150nm and proving her sea kindliness. Her current owner has
spent the last three years refitting her, mainly in Thailand with one 7 month

months ago, a new engine, new steerable drive leg with matched
maximum sized prop, additional new outboard as back up propulsion, new
